TECHNOLOGY: A vital element
Technology…….What does it actually mean to you ? It may be gaming for a kid , infopedia far a student like me or it may be adeal for an entrepreneur to earn money . Whatever we do nowadays, we require it in some or the other form . It has become a vital element of aur lives . Had it been there no mobile phones, tabs ,laptops or computers , what would have happened? Do you really think that our lives would have become easier? Or do you think we would have been able to connect to the people across the world ? Obviously, our life would have become strenuous. Most importantly what would have happened in a situation when we have to sit at our homes and we can’t go out …..LOCKDOWN. Do you think we would have been able to work from home or have virtual classes like we are having nowadays due to COVID ‐19 ?

TECHNOLOGY : A Mate during lockdown
The cultural shift from reading newspapers to surfing internet , from writing letters to sending an SMS , from reading books in library to reading E-books seems to be speeding up.
However , in a situation like now it has helped a lot in many ways .
- We are adapting ourselves to virtual classes .
- People are able to work from home .
- We are able to keep a track of all socio ‐ economic changes .
- We are able to stay connected to oue relatives and friends especially through video conferencing.
Above all of it , we have started interacting with our family members more than usual , kids are back to board games with all that fun , people have become more passionate about their interests and skills . Moreover , we have stopped eating junk food that we were addicted to , instead we have started trying new dishes at home . Sometimes , it seems as if we’re back to our grandma’s time .

” Technology is a useful servant but a dangerous master .”
‐Christian Lous Lange
Social distancing measures and shift to remote working , socializing and school led to questions about the technology available to us . As we are using a lot of techno stuff nowadays like video conferencing applications etc. we need to be careful while using them .

CYBER CRIME:
Cyber Crime in India has surged amidst the country’s unprecedented corona lockdown . Attacks have soared 86% in yhe four weeks roughly between March and April . It has been revealed that both private and state sponsored cyber criminals have proven effective at exploiting the ongoing crisis . Personal data continues to be an attractive target during the pandemic . It has been reported that malware and phishing schemes operating under the pretext of Covid Prevention have similary seen a steep rise sice the outbreak. This is also known as coronavirus malware which aims at stealing bank account details , passwords and other sensitive information from the users.

India’s historic lockdown has led to cybercrimes beyond oportunistic levels against private individuals. Some cyber criminals appear to be taking the advantage of COVID-19 emergency to launch attacks.
